About us
High Ham civil parish is located in the South Somerset district of the county. A large rural parish of 2,0304 ha., it has seen development and an increase in population in the last 50 years, but old Blue Lias cottages remain a key feature of the settlements. The parish has a primary school, village hall, churches and chapels, playing field and a pub. Landmarks include Millennium Wood, Eastfield nature reserve, Britain’s only thatched windmill, and a network of footpaths that link the settlements and access the surrounding countryside.
